Every family reaches a moment when it must decide whether to preserve its history or allow pieces of it to fade with time. At the 2026 Rosalio Saenz Reunion in Austin, there was renewed discussion about creating a family website and building a family tree. Those conversations reminded us of something important—not because the ideas weren’t worthwhile, but because those dreams have already begun to take shape.
For many years, family members expressed a desire for a central website where reunion information could be found and for a family tree that could preserve our shared history. Questions were asked. Information was requested. Hopes were shared. Yet, after more than fifteen years, many of those ideas remained unrealized.
Rather than letting those dreams remain ideas, we chose to begin building them.
Two years ago, we launched what has become the central online home for the Rosalio Saenz Family. Our goal was never to replace anyone’s work or take ownership away from individual reunion hosts. Instead, our mission has always been simple:
To bring every branch of the Saenz Family together under one shared home while allowing each reunion committee to continue doing what they do best.
A Home for Every Branch
Today, every city hosting a Rosalio Saenz Reunion can have its own dedicated page within our website. These pages provide visitors with reunion information, itineraries, registration details, event schedules, locations, announcements, and important updates.
For reunion committees that already have their own websites, we proudly support them as well. Links to those websites are included throughout our menu because we understand that each host city may prefer maintaining control of its own reunion planning. We respect that completely.
Our goal isn’t competition.
It’s connection.
Preserving Our Family Story
Perhaps the project closest to our hearts has been the creation of the Saenz Family Tree.
For nearly two years, countless hours have gone into researching, organizing, and preserving our family’s history for future generations. This is far more than names on a chart.
Imagine one of our grandchildren receiving a school assignment to research their ancestry.
Instead of wondering where to begin, they can visit our family website and discover:
- Their own family branch
- The branches of cousins they have yet to meet
- Stories of their ancestors
- Photographs
- Family history
- Connections that span generations
Our family tree is intended to be a living legacy—one that belongs to every member of the Saenz Family and will continue growing as more families contribute their stories.
More Than Reunion Information
The website has grown into something much larger than a reunion page.
It now serves as a year-round resource where family members can stay connected through:
- Reunion announcements and future host cities
- Scholarship information and recipients
- Family news and celebrations
- Recognition of our military veterans
- Historical articles
- Family stories
- Blog updates that keep everyone informed throughout the year
Rather than relying solely on social media posts that disappear over time, this creates a permanent archive that future generations can return to again and again.
Supporting the Future
One exciting addition has been the Saenz Family Apparel Store.
Its purpose has never been simply to sell shirts.
Instead, it creates another opportunity to support our family throughout the year—not just during reunion season.
While apparel sales alone will never fund everything we dream of accomplishing, every purchase contributes toward helping our family continue traditions such as:
- Rosalio Saenz Scholarships
- Seed money for future reunions
- Family activities
- New projects that benefit future generations
Every little bit helps.
This Is Your Website
Perhaps the most important thing to remember is this:
This website does not belong to one individual.
It belongs to all of us.
It was built to be a central gathering place where every branch of the Saenz Family can contribute photographs, biographies, historical information, reunion updates, and stories that deserve to be remembered.
The website works alongside our Facebook and Instagram communities, creating one connected network where family members can stay informed regardless of where they live.
Looking Forward Together
When Houston hosted the Rosalio Saenz Reunion, we witnessed what could happen when family members worked together toward a common goal. Since then, that spirit has continued to grow.
The website is simply another way of carrying that momentum forward.
Our family has never needed to reinvent itself.
We simply need to continue building upon the foundation we’ve already laid—together.
Every story shared, every photograph preserved, every family branch added to the tree, and every reunion celebrated strengthens the legacy we leave for those who will come after us.
The greatest gift we can give future generations is not simply a reunion to attend every two years.
It is a family history they can discover, a heritage they can be proud of, and a place they will always know they belong.
This is our website. This is our story. And together, we will continue building it for generations to come.
